Discussions of adult entertainment often become divided between simple narratives of individual choice and simple narratives of exploitation. In reality, personal circumstances, working conditions, commercial pressures and individual experiences can vary considerably. Our documentary considers some of these tensions while examining how performers and the industry are represented in public discussion. The aim is to open up the questions, acknowledge the limits of broad generalizations and give viewers context for thinking critically about the subject.
