We’re constantly told that women are independent adults who can make their own romantic choices. Until, apparently, they choose a man the internet disapproves of. Then suddenly everyone becomes a relationship expert, amateur psychologist and self-appointed guardian of female agency.
Apparently, a man dating a younger woman is now enough to trigger an entire internet tribunal.But is all this outrage really about protecting women—or is something else going on?
